From Sam Pudlat school to the North West
This is near the top end if the inlet where the cargo and tourists ships enter in July August and September but the snow starts again in Sept. Oh I guess someone forgot to put there boat away last year.
Carolee mentioned the expense of everything up here being quite high, and most every thing is. Except if you compare stone carvings here verses and where else in the world. Cape Dorset is internationally know for it’s carvers. They produce here in Cape Dorset more Inuit Art than any where else. This is why they have the nicest hotel in the north, for the dignitaries and collectors of stone carvings and prints. I bought this dancing bear on my way back to my room last evening from Samanie Shaa. We stopped chatted and he sold me the bear! They say pennies on the dollar compared to the southeern galleries.
A shot of the lookout which would look south east to the ocean.
Love the photo,s and the captions. Thanks for sharing.
